Introduction
Black Silicon Carbide is made from quartz and petroleum coke or anthracite in electric resistance furnace at high temperature. Its hardness is between corundum and synthetic diamond.
It is widely used for grinding wheel, sanding belt, sanding paper, whetstone, mounted point, etc. and also can be used as metallurgical additive and high-grade refractory material. It’s suitable for processing glass, ceramic, stone, cast iron and nonferrous metal.
